"Silent Ones" by Amanda Pape

Here we are with the silent ones

Speaking a language that requires no tongues

Laying beneath the green that they wrought

Remembering what I somehow forgot

Straddling the edge of the perpetual climb

And fumbling words to describe the sublime

Constructing this vision on fallible sounds

For a symphonic sight, so loud it’s profound

Here underneath their empyrean rhythm

Our molecules diverging into a schism

Caught in between this ethereal teal

And our naked devotion in all of its zeal
